How to use the KS3 History Cultural Capital Calendar 2023-24

    Firstly, follow these steps:

  • Find and click on your year group
  • Identify which Half Term (HT) we are currently in, and find your current topic
  • Decide whether you want to ‘Read’, ‘Visit’ or ‘Research’

Borrow the book from the Humanities Library or purchase it yourself.

Read the book and complete the usual 100 word reflection.

Consider writing a book review for the newsletter.
Aim to visit the relevant historical site and find links to what you are currently studying in the History curriculum.
Once you have done this, complete the usual 100 word reflection.  Consider writing a review of the site for the newsletter
Click the photo and complete the linked worksheet that will introduce you to a whole new part of history that was happening around the same time as what you are currently studying in the History Curriculum.
       
Submit your cultural capital reflection, book review, site review or Meanwhile, Elsewhere, worksheet, submit it via the NCS Cultural Capital submission form above.
