As part of Mica’s (Y9) Duke of Edinburgh Award ‘skills and volunteering section’, she is crocheting 3D hearts for the Salford Royal Bereavement Team. They ask for pairs so that one can be with the deceased and the other with a family member. The Team Leaders were amazed as they had never been given homemade 3D hearts before and also at the character of a Year 9!
