Resourceful and Purposeful Character on display at the Deaf Boccia Tournament

Deaf Boccia Tournament in Liverpool!

On the 30th January Freya (Y7) won gold at the Deaf Boccia Tournament in Liverpool.  There were 24 other teams of all ages from the across the North West.  Some of the leaders and referees were using sign language, so I was able to practice my BSL.

"I showed resilience though and learned from some early mistakes by checking we were on the correct court, watching carefully who's turn it was next and which colour team was getting the points and working out a strategy with my teammates when it got tricky.  With perseverance and determination, we progressed through the heats and....... we won!"

My medal is really heavy!
