Whilst we were in the big Buddha temple, I received a sacred bracelet, known as 'Sai sin ' in Thai. They come from larger lengths of thread that have been blessed by the monks and then tied to yourself by a monk. Whilst tying the bracelet the monk also splashes you with blessed water. Whilst at Maya Beach island hopping we found a small temple they had made for the monkeys.
