We went to Leonardo Da Vinci's interactive museum and saw all of his artwork, inventions, his equipment that he used and how he came up with the cool ideas for them. There were machines for lifting, creating and destroying things, and I also got to use models of some as well. It was amazing because I had been learning about his experiments on dead human bodies in History in Y8, and I got to see the actual hospital where his did the dissections to learn how the human body works and about human anatomy. 

We also went to see the Statue of The Boy David by Michaelangelo at the Accademia Gallery in Florence, and I had never realized it was David from the David and Goliath story in the bible.

I went to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I thought it was really cool to be there and never knew that it was there by accident. I thought it was intentionally slanted but turns out it was by accident and somehow stayed in that same position. The tower sunk into the ground in 1178 while it was being built because the builders chose a poor location - the soil was too soft and marshy. The builders tried to fix it by making the tower taller on one side, but that just made it sink even more!
